The 19th Annual Conference on Information Technology Education will be hosted by Broward College in Fort Lauderdale, FL October 3 – October 6, 2018. The conference is sponsored by the ACM Special Interest Group for Information Technology Education (SIGITE).
The theme of the conference is “Innovate, Educate, Create.” Fort Lauderdale may be known for fun in the sun, its beautiful beaches, and the nearby Everglades but its innovative academic and corporate ecosystem is even more impressive. Home to the South Florida Accelerator, an innovative education system from K-12 through higher education, and innovative companies across many industry sectors such as healthcare, construction, and information technology, Fort Lauderdale is the place to innovate, educate, and create.
Information Technology can enhance people’s lives in many ways. From comfort and convenience to enabling access and enhancing resource management, Information Technology continues to change our lives and the way we live it.
SIGITE provides a forum for sharing and developing ideas relating to information technology research, education, and application. We encourage submissions that address innovate ways for academia, government, and industry to enhance digital learning, communication, and the growing fields of IT such as cybersecurity, analytics, virtual reality, augmented reality, robotics, IoT, and cloud computing to name a few.
